Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) subsidiary Therma Luzon, Inc. (TLI) and Ibaan Electric Corporation (IEC) have renewed their partnership for the next five years through a recently signed Power Supply Agreement (PSA). Under this partnership, TLI will supply 10.92 megawatts (MW) to the whole municipality of Ibaan, Batangas, and adjacent barangays of Adya in Lipa City and Salaban in the Municipality of San Jose.

IEC Chief Executive Officer Engr. Edelyn Jane Salvame said the partnership with AboitizPower affirms both companies' role in providing Batanguenos with steady, reliable, and competitively-priced electricity supply to businesses, households, and communities in the province of Batangas.

“At IEC, we are called to be partners to households and businesses for a brighter tomorrow. We would not have been able to continuously fulfill this mission without the partnership with AboitizPower. TLI has been our supplier since 2010 and we are excited for the next five years of working together,” Salvame said. “We are hopeful that this renewed partnership will further address the need for reliable electricity for businesses and households in our province and ultimately pave the way for sustained economic growth and improved quality of life.”

“We are grateful for having been given another opportunity to make an impactful change within the communities served by IEC,” AboitizPower Wholesale Head Angeli Parcia said. “With this renewed partnership with IEC, we are excited to kick start our efforts in ensuring the delivery of reliable energy to help businesses prosper and support the day-to-day lives of families and communities.”

Throughout their 13-year partnership, AboitizPower and IEC have also collaborated on some educational programs for various schools in Batangas. Advancing business and communities remains to be one of the key thrusts of the Aboitiz group and will continue to play a critical role in building relationships and powering progress within communities.
