Therma Luzon, Inc. (TLI), is AboitizPower’s 700 MW coal-fired power plant in Pagbilao, Quezon. TeaM Energy Corporation (TeaM Energy) operates the facility under a Build-Operate-Transfer scheme.
First constructed in 1993 within Ibabang Polo, Isla Grande, the Pagbilao plant houses two 350 MW units which became fully operational on August 14, 1996.
AboitizPower took over the plant in 2009 and was awarded an Independent Power Producer-Administrator (IPPA) contract for the output generation and procurement of the facility’s fuel requirements.
Thanks to TLI's efficient and growing capacity in electricity generation, Luzon Island’s power is in good hands.

In line with its commitment to promoting a culture of safety across the organization and among its partners, the AboitizPower Coal Business Unit (BU) clocked in close to 9.6 million safe man-hours without lost time injury (LTI) as of the end of June this year.
For AboitizPower, safety is the topmost priority. This way of thinking is instilled in the culture of its employees. As a testament to this commitment, AboitizPower-Coal Business Unit (AP Coal BU) recently clocked in 5 million safe manhours without lost time injury (LTI) last Oct. 1, 2019.
In observance of this year’s Fire Prevention Month, AboitizPower subsidiary Therma Luzon, Inc. (TLI) upgraded the wiring system of 36 classrooms at Talipan National High School in Pagbilao, Quezon Province.
