A new supplemental service called eBillTxt was recently launched by Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. to allow its customers to receive electronic bills via Short Message Service (SMS) or commonly known as text.
eBillTxt is Davao Light’s latest paperless option to receive monthly electricity bills and view them anytime, anywhere. This service is part of Davao Light's innovative way to provide its customers easy and efficient options in checking their bills and meeting their ever-changing needs. Thus, improving customer experience and satisfaction level.
The SMS contains the customer's account balance, due date, and link to the password-protected PDF bill. When paying at the customer service centers or third party agents of Davao Light, customers may show this text message instead of the hard copy of their bill.
“With our eBillTxt, we step up our game in making Davao Light's billing services accessible to our customers. Convenience is indeed now at the palm of their hands,” said Davao Light Assistant Vice President for Customer Services Group Arnold L. Arsolon.
Aside from providing convenience, Davao Light also encourages the switch from paper to electronic bills to help save the environment by reducing paper waste.
“This small act of going paperless will make a big impact on tomorrow's environment,” Arsolon said.
Customers may avail of the eBillTxt service by registering through the link posted on Davao Light's official Facebook page or by sending an email request to davaolight@aboitiz.com. Once a customer is enrolled, they will already start enjoying the benefits of receiving bills through SMS.
