Davao Light among the first Philippine-based electric distribution utilities to receive ISO 55002:2014 certification

Davao Light is one of the first Philippine-based electric distribution utilities to be certified with the ISO 55001:2014, an asset management system standard that aims to check the processes of organizations in effectively managing the lifecycle of their assets. “This is truly a milestone for AboitizPower, specifically Davao Light being one of the first distribution utilities in the Philippines to be certified, we are proud to share this momentous achievement with them,” said Romero Zamora, Managing Director of DQS in the Philippines, during the awarding of certificates held in Cebu City on May 30, 2023.

Davao Light underwent a rigorous audit last December 2022 conducted by DQS Certification Philippines, an external certifying body, thoroughly examining the company’s processes and operations, both internal and external. “This is another example of our commitment to our customers and stakeholders; that we are responsible custodians of our assets to truly drive value for them,” said Anton Mari Perdices, AboitizPower Distribution Utilities Chief Operating Officer. Davao Light also has certifications in ISO 9001:2015 or the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 45001:2018 or the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System, and in ISO 14001:2015 or the Environmental Management (EM) System.
