APRI scholars graduate

NINE SCHOLARS of AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI) in Tiwi, Albay successfully completed their college education this year.

Scholarship and financial assistance are part of APRI’s corporate and social responsibility (CSR) programs that aim to help bright students from its host communities to have a better education.

APRI President and COO Lino Bernardo shared, "At APRI, education remains a priority among CSR programs.

 More than half of our annual CSR budget through Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.  goes to education to further enrich and develop our relationship with our host communities, and help the less fortunate yet deserving students have a better future.

Aside from the scholarship program, APRI also provides teacher’s training, school building and classroom constructions, refurbishment of laboratories to help in the improvement of the public education in its host and neighboring communities.

“Thank you very much, APRI! Without your financial support, my family and I could never have imagined that we can make it,” said APRI scholar Mary Grace Martinez .

Martinez graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in  Business Administration, Human Resources Development at Bicol University, Legazpi City.

Since 2011, APRI, which has operations in Tiwi, Albay and Makban, Laguna, has already helped a total of 245 students who graduated from high school, college, and technical-vocational (tech-voc).

At present, APRI is sharing optimism with its 290 scholars, 137 special science (Grade 1 and 2), 88 high school, 44 college and 21 tech-voc, helping them to become closer to their dreams of a better future.
