Cleanergy Park: The Release of 168 Baby Turtles To The Wild
October 25, 2017
A total number of 168 sea turtles were released from nest number 6 last Friday, October 20, by Davao Light Kaibigans. The releasing event was led by AboitizPower Distribution Group COO Jim Aboitiz, and Davao Light COO Rodger Velasco.
The occasion was witnessed by the barangay, different organizations, Ateneo de Davao Law School students, UP Mindanao students, and Davao Light Kaibigans who support our Pawikan Conservation efforts.
Year to date, a total number of 935 hatchlings from the 6 pawikan nests were already released. As of now, there are still 4 remaining nests waiting to hatch and we are looking forward to additional sea turtle nesting visits soon!
