Sto. Tomas, Batangas elementary school elevates kindergarten facility

Around 88 kindergarten pupils (annual average enrollees) will now enjoy a new learning abode in San Felix Elementary School as AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI) successfully built and turned over a two-classroom AGAPP Silid Pangarap complete with furniture, fixtures and reading materials last February 16.

AGAPP Silid Pangarap advocates literacy, early childhood care and development in support of the Department of Education’s K to 12 Program.

The new Silid Pangarap classrooms in San Felix Elementary School were made possible through partnership among Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.

, Aklat Gabay, Aruga Tungo sa Pag-angat at Pag-asa (AGAPP), Local Government Unit of Sto. Tomas, and the Department of Education, Division of Batangas.

“Education is one of the priority CSR programs of the Aboitiz Group. More than half of our annual CSR budget goes to education in the form of classrooms construction and repair, refurbishments, and scholarships, among other interventions that support our country’s public education system,” said APRI President and COO Felino Bernardo during the ceremonial turnover.

To date, APRI has already provided ten two-classroom Silid Pangarap school buildings in the Municipalities of Sto. Tomas in Batangas, Bay and Calauan in Laguna, and Tiwi in Albay, Bicol Region.

APRI, an AboitizPower subsidiary remains true to its commitment of social responsibility and good corporate citizenship to its host communities by implementing projects with long-term benefits towards the improvement of the quality of the lives of the Filipino people. ###
