GNPD, GMEC among top importers in Limay Port, Bataan - BOC

GNPD is top four importer in Limay Port. The GNPower Dinginin (GNPD) and GNPower Mariveles Energy Center (GMEC) facilities in Bataan were named among the Bureau of Customs - Port of Limay’s (BOC-Limay) top 15 importers in 2024, ranking fourth and seventh, respectively.

The citation was presented during BOC-Limay’s 17th anniversary celebration, held at the Manila Prince Hotel. The event recognized organizations that made significant contributions to trade facilitation and government revenue.

"Our advocacy towards growth and economic development in the Philippines, through the delivery of safe, reliable, and cost-efficient power supply, is not without the help of our partners from the Bureau of Customs," said AboitizPower Transition Business Group SAVP for Fuel Management Rene Katigbak. "BOC's collaboration with our operations, particularly for the timely processing and release of our imports, makes it possible for us to protect and sustain the fuel required to keep our plants running and generate the megawatts needed by the Luzon and Visayas grids."

“We proudly accept this honor given to us by the esteemed Bureau and take pride in being recognized as a company that works with integrity and responsibility through compliance with its regulatory obligations by the higher governing bodies,” Katigbak added.

GNPD and GMEC are private limited partnerships. Aboitiz Power Corporation has a 70% effective partnership interest in GNPD and a 78.3% effective partnership interest in GMEC.
