Davao Light recognizes top-performing contractors

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) recognized its contractors who met its standard procedures and have delivered excellent support and services to the electric utility's operations and customers, during its annual Contractors' Appreciation Day.

This year, the Contractors' Appreciation Day is held virtually with the theme “Gugma'g Pagdayeg: Celebrating the Super in You”, which aims to strengthen partnerships, improve work quality and boost workforce morale. Moreover, the program also allows Davao Light to acknowledge these contractor associations for providing support and working hard, especially during the pandemic.

The 19 contractor associations were ranked and rated based on their work execution, which includes compliance to established business processes, timeliness of work implementation, and conformance to the standard construction. Behavioral and safety, which includes compliance to safety and environment requirements, professionalism, and courtesy in dealing with customers were also considered. Statutory compliance is also another criteria for rating, which pertains to the timely submission of complete monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements.

“Gamay or dako na trabaho, nagacontribute diay ta sa dako na tumong or purpose. Kita diri sa Davao Light ug kamo among mga partners, atong nahibuluan nga ang atong common purpose mao ang pagpalipay sa atong mga customers, pinaagi sa atong maayong pag-alagad sa mga tagsa tagsa nato nga trabaho ug atong mga customers.” (Whether we have a small or big role, we contribute to a bigger purpose.
