Typhoon Odette negatively impacted the lives of our host community in Toledo City, Cebu, damaging infrastructure and hindering their access to basic needs, including food and water. A report from the Toledo Public Information Office states that infrastructure and agricultural damage in the city is pegged at over P260 million.
Therma Visayas Inc. (TVI) helped provide immediate aid through relief packs and water to its host communities, specifically to affected families in Barangays Awihao, Bato, and Cabitoonan.
In a courtesy call with Toledo City Mayor, Hon. Marjorie “Joie” Perales, the executive thanked TVI for its efforts and recognized it as the first industry partner in Toledo City to respond. “Thank you, Therma Visayas for not forsaking Toledo City during these hard times. Trust me that this support will go to typhoon-affected Toledonhons," Mayor Perales said.
