After heavy rains that caused flooding in multiple low-lying areas in Mindanao on March 8, 2022, Davao Light and Power Co. and its social development arm, Aboitiz Foundation Inc. donate hygiene materials to Panabo City and the municipalities of Carmen, Dujali, and Sto. Tomas.
In Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte, Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWDO) officer-in-charge Vivian Manile reports that 1,800 families from multiple areas in the municipality were victims of the recent flood.
Panabo City also reports that 400 families in JP Laurel and 144 families in Datu Abdul and Little Panay were flooded and will receive the donated hygiene materials such as soaps and oral care products.
In addition to the donated hygiene materials, Panabo City and the municipalities of Carmen and Dujali received laptops, medical supplies, and equipment for the vaccination campaigns of the city and municipalities, respectively.
