SacaSun, Aboitiz Foundation hopes to transform a remote school’s future

San Carlos Sun Power Inc. (SacaSun) and the Aboitiz Foundation extended a P470,000 donation to Balabag Elementary School in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, significantly transforming its educational landscape for a more promising future for both students and educators.

Located in a remote area near the North Negros National Park, Balabag Elementary School faces unique challenges in providing quality education to its young learners. The recent donations, which included solar lamps, water tank, bunk beds, canopy tents, and cement, are crucial lifelines for enhanced learning. Their availability allows education to be more accessible and effective despite the school's geographic isolation.

This initiative marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between SacaSun, Aboitiz Foundation, and Balabag ES through the adopt-a-school program.

Principal Wendel Garcia expressed gratitude for the generous support, emphasizing how these donations will directly impact the school community.
