Helping the Indigenous People earn a college degree

Last August 23, 3018, Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. and Aboitiz Foundation have formally turned over its financial support to Mindanawon Initiatives for Cultural Dialogue (MICD), the community engagement arm of the Ateneo de Davao University.

This is in support to MICD's Lumad Scholarship Program, to empower the Indigenous People in Mindanao by helping in their college education.

Davao Light and Abotiz Foundation have been supporting MICD in this program since 2002.

This year's support was turned over by the EVP & COO of Davao Light, Rodger S. Velasco, to MICD Director, Perpevina Tio, together with their Lumad scholars.
