Ata Manobo students get additional support for online learning

To augment learning and supplement the online class setup during this pandemic, the Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) and Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. handed over computer equipment and gadgets to Talos Elementary School, a school catering to mostly Ata Manobo Tribe children located in a far-flung community at Sitio Talos, Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte.

During the turnover, Arlyn Suazo, the School Head of Talos Elementary School, along with some teachers and students, warmly and happily received laptops, printers, headphones with microphones and tablets handed over by Davao Light Reputation Enhancement Department Head Fermin Edillon.

Edillon said that the donations are to be used both by the teachers and learners to keep them abreast with the online way of learning.

Suazo also expressed their gratitude to Davao Light for bringing the technology world closer to their institution, especially during the pandemic.

“Thank you for letting us and for letting our learners na sumabay sa bagong kalakaran (to join the latest trend). Kailangan na jud na karon sa atong department. (This is much needed in our department). These equipment will be taken care of, will be properly utilized, and definitely will leave a legacy,” she added.
