AP Renewables, Inc (APRI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AboitizPower, heeded the Brigada Eskwela call of the Department of Education.Last June 4, 34 APRI employees and senior officers volunteered to repaint five classrooms and 120 chairs at the Limao Elementary School in Calauan, Laguna.“This team member volunteerism project is a testament of APRI’s solid commitment to support public education through our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives,” said APRI President and COO Felino Bernardo. He added, “Brigada Eskwela has always been close to our hearts because we are personally able to help create a conducive learning environment for children in our host communities.”Meanwhile, APRI also donated painting materials to Bitin Elementary School, Bitin High school, San Jose Elementary School, Mahabang Parang Elementary School, Tamlong Elementary School, and San Felix Elementary School to help them in preparing their classrooms for the anticipated arrival of their students.“Thank you, AboitizPower, for supporting Brigada Eskwela. You never fail on your educational initiatives to your host schools. We are looking forward to more partnerships with you,” shared Ms. Nimfa Ongkiatco, Principal of Limao Elementary School.Since 2011, Limao’s elementary school has been partnering with APRI for various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Activities implemented here include the construction of classroom building, an AGAPP kindergarten school building, donation of library kits, scholarships to deserving students, and a “Power Quiz Bee” which aims to develop knowledge and awareness of the youth regarding power education and conservation.###
