AboitizPower, SURSECO 1 bring medical services to Mindanao town

Around 500 residents of Poblacion Barobo in Surigao Del Sur received free medical and dental services last July 7, 2017 during the Medical Mission event of Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) and Aboitiz Foundation Inc (Aboitiz Foundation) in partnership with Surigao Del Sur I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SURSECO 1).
Medical services given include general health consultation, dental and eye check-up, tooth extraction, and blood typing.
Representatives from AboitizPower and SURSECO 1 together with volunteer doctors, dentists, optometrists, and medical technologist worked together to deliver the successful charity event.
“We are truly thankful to AboitizPower and to the Aboitiz Foundation for extending their resources to our people. We are very proud to have them as partners in servicing our communities” said SURSECO 1 General Manager Mr. Joceler M. Moralda.
The medical mission was conducted in line with the 46th founding anniversary of SURSECO 1.
SURSECO-1, the first electric cooperative in Surigao Del Sur, currently serves the municipalities of Lingig, Bislig, Tagbina, Barobo, Hinatuan, Lianga, and San Agustin, covering a total of 138 barangays.
AboitizPower currently serves 25 electric cooperatives and power distribution utilities in Mindanao.
