In an effort to help schools recover from setbacks brought about by the pandemic, AboitizPower and leading industrial food manufacturer Marcel FoodSciences Inc. have joined forces to improve the in-school experiences of both students and teachers at a center for learning in Carcar City, Cebu.

Through AboitizPower’s New Normal Assistance Program, printing equipment and other learning resources were turned over earlier this year to Maximo Noel Memorial National High School to enhance the learning experience of students and ease the burden of school administrators in the delivery of their respective lessons.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to help Maximino Noel Memorial National High School as they shift to hybrid mode of learning. As the trend of hybrid learning continues, we seek to understand what resources are needed and provide them to more schools in Cebu,” said Philip Parado, Marcel FoodSciences Inc. Plant Manager.

“AboitizPower is keen on supporting students and school personnel to make learning and teaching both interesting and effective. A lot of schools are in need of resources that will accelerate the production of materials to cater to various modes of learning, whether face-to-face or virtual. We hope to inspire individuals and other businesses to capitalize on such practical solutions that bring a lot of value in enhancing education in the country,” said AboitizPower’s Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Juan Alejandro A. Aboitiz.

The company and its partners intend to continue donating to various schools across the Philippines throughout the year to sustain the momentum of reviving school activities.
