AboitizPower grants financial assistance to HS students

Students from various public high schools in Maco, Compostela Valley got a much needed boost in their studies through the financial assistance program of AboitizPower subsidiary Therma Marine, Inc. (TMI).

Close to 80 learners each received a financial grant on September 6, 2018, a project that was made possible through a partnership between TMI and the Aboitiz Foundation.

“Rest assured, we will do our best in our studies and give value not just for the assistance, but for the opportunity to have a better life in the future,” said Angel Bethane Mangyao, a grade 11 student at New Leyte National High School - Teresa Extension.

Mangyao went on to thank TMI and Aboitiz Foundation for helping them in their studies and giving them better opportunities through the financial support.

“At AboitizPower, we believe quality education is crucial to achieving a better future. We are glad to be part of our youth's journey toward their dreams. It's a way for us to support these hard working students in ensuring their dreams become great realities,” said Ardy Co, TMI’s Reputation Manager.

The scholarship program in Maco, which began in 2012, is part of AboitizPower’s commitment to advancing business and communities.

TMI operates two power barges in Maco, Compostela Valley and Nasipit, Agusan del Norte that give Mindanao an additional boost of power supply whenever needed.
