Newly refurbished Electrical Installation & Maintenance (EIM) and Garments Workshop facilities of Tiwi Agro-Industrial School (TAIS) are now ready to cater more than 200 senior high school students in the S.Y. 2015-2016.

Last March, AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AboitizPower successfully turned over the refurbishment and asset donation project to TAIS.It is part of the Technical-Vocational (TechVoc) Development Program of the Aboitiz Foundation, and will support the K-12 Program of Department of Education (DepEd) across the country.The project includes the refurbishments of electricity building and drainage system, and provision of tools & equipment for the Electrical Technology course, the forefront TechVoc course in the Province of Albay.Meanwhile, the Garments Workshop facility was provided with new high-speed sewing machines to help enhance the skills training of the students.Tiwi Vice Mayor David C. Beato graced the turnover event together with key teachers and officers of TAIS and APRI, respectively.TAIS Head Teacher VI Lolito Canaria shared, “Thank you so much to APRI for providing us the needed tools, equipment, and sewing machines. These will be of great help to our students. With your continuous support, we are driven to becoming a competitive school in Garments and Electrical Technology in Albay.”“Electrical Technology is a good career and very close to AboitizPower.
