Therma Luzon, Inc. (TLI), an Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) subsidiary, turned over hospital equipment to the Health Service Center of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) Southern Luzon Command (Solcom) to cap a three-year initiative to improve the medical services of Camp Nakar Station Hospital in Quezon Province.
TLI donated essential equipment for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and Emergency Medicine. This complements the previously donated electrocardiogram, defibrillator, and physical therapy equipment.
This aims to to help the medical complex attain a Level 1 Department of Health accreditation., Together with a Level 2 laboratory, this qualifies the facility to service both uniformed and civilian residents in the area.
“This partnership with AboitizPower is more than just an upgrade of facilities — it is an investment in the health, morale, and resilience of our men and women in uniform. We are grateful to AboitizPower for recognizing the critical role that world-class healthcare plays in supporting our mission to serve the Filipino people,” said Brigadier General Aldwine Almanse.
“The support of AboitizPower is invaluable, not only to the people of Quezon, but also the larger community of Southern Luzon. Because of this, Camp Nakar Station Hospital’s equipment readiness is now at 100% — all thanks to AboitizPower,” added CNSH Chief Col. Zabala.
The Health Service Center-Southern Luzon, which includes the Camp Nakar Station Hospital, Dental Dispensary, and Veterinary Dispensary, is a vital medical facility for the AFP in the area.
"AboitizPower supports the health and well-being of our armed forces. We consider it very important in creating a nation that is stronger,” explained AboitizPower Senior Specialist for Reputation & Stakeholder Management Alyssa Mojar-Pereira. “This project is an expression of our strong resolve in nation-building and to being a good corporate citizen of Pagbilao and the larger Quezon Province.”
