Helps Power A Better Future

Therma South, Inc. (TSI) is the first coal-fired power plant in the country to build a Coal Dome. This structure safely stores coal deposits and prevents dust pollution caused by its combustion.

The 300 MW plant, located between Davao City and Sta. Cruz in Davao del Sur uses the latest Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) technology to recirculate combustion for even greater power generation efficiency.

TSI powers more than 20 electric cooperatives and distribution utilities across Mindanao. It services major cities in the provinces of Davao, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Butuan, Zamboanga, Kidapawan, Cotabato, Tagum, Agusan, Surigao, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental.

Through TSI, AboitizPower is helping Mindanao achieve a power-stable and better tomorrow.
