A wholly-owned subsidiary of AboitizPower, Hedcor Bukidnon and its contractor Sta Clara International Construction achieved one millionth safe man-hours with no lost time accident in building the Manolo Fortich Hydro 2 Project in the Province of Bukidnon.1,000,000 is the equivalent of 672 individuals working safely for 400 days.Hedcor follows operating practices and safety standards that safeguards all team members. It is the policy of Hedcor to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions. Accident prevention and efficient production go hand-in-hand.“No job shall be considered satisfactorily unless the team member has followed every precaution and safety rule to protect themselves and fellow workers,” says Rene Ronquillo, the president and COO of Hedcor.The Manolo Fortich Hydro 1 with a capacity of 43.4 MW is 46% complete, as of this writing. It is contracted by JV Angeles Construction Corporation. Meanwhile, 25.4-MW Manolo Fortich 2 is pegged at 27% with Sta. Clara as the contractor. The two plants will be commissioned by the second quarter of 2017.As part of Hedcor’s safety compliance, contractors are conducting mandatory drug test to workers, most especially to equipment operators.
