DAVAO CITY --- It was a joyful holiday season for the 30 children of The Field of Dreams Children’s Charity Foundation when volunteer employees of Hedcor Inc. through its Labor Management Cooperation (LMC) chose them as beneficiaries for their Give-A-Gift Program.

Hedcor volunteers raised funds to buy canned goods, noodles, rice, detergent bars, bath soaps, clothing, slippers, toiletries and toys. These items were personally given to the foster children by the group of employees.

The children in turn entertained the volunteers with their special version of beloved Christmas carols. As a finale, 8 year old Tamtam shouted, “Daghan Kaayong Salamat#” causing rousing cheer and applause from the volunteers.

Kuya George Cabalhog, home manager of the kids said, “Our heartfelt thanks to Hedcor for remembering us again. Your (Hedcor) gesture is really appreciated and for sure these kids will be keeping their smiles forever.”

Hedcor’s LMC outreach activity is a voluntary effort to promote harmonious and healthy relationships with its host communities.

The Field of Dreams Children’s Charity Foundation is located in Tugbok District, Davao City which is the home of Hedcor’s 5 oldest hydropower plants --- the Talomo Hydros. It has an installed capacity of 4.47MW, continually delivering clean and renewable energy for all Davawenyos.
