A day before Valentine's Day, February 13, Davao Light and Power Co. in partnership with its accredited electricians installed electrical house-wiring to 16 houses in Gawad Kalinga (GK) Sweet Home Alabama.The families, who used to live in the city's parks, will now enjoy the convenience of having an electricity connection in their new found home in the newest GK village at the Relocation Area, Los Amigos, Tugbok, Davao City. “This is not the first time that Davao Light partnered with the organizations of electricians to provide free electrical installation services to households that are beneficiaries of the GK. This is also our way to extend the Bayanihan culture of Davao Light up to our contractors.” said Fermin Edillon, Davao Light's Community Relations Manager.Around 100 electricians from six accredited associations namely Integrated Electricians Association of Davao, United Electricians of Metro Davao,  Davao Private Electricians Association, Davao United Register Practitioners In Electrical Engineering Services Inc., Davao Electrical Practitioners Association and Panabo United Skilled Electricians Association volunteered to join in the said event.
