APRI promotes safe and healthy communities

AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI) MakBan kicked off its Barangay Health Improvement Program with the recently organized two-day training on Basic Health Services in Brgy. Bitin, Bay, Laguna, to help address the need for public health assistance.

Through the help of the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Bay Municipality, seven barangay health workers strengthened their knowledge and skills in providing quality health services.

Some of the topics discussed include tuberculosis awareness, family planning, vaccinations, prenatal check-up, national immunization program, hypertension, and deworming programs, among others.

Barangay Bitin Chairman John Paul (JP) Villegas thanked APRI for choosing their health center as the beneficiary of its health & well-being initiatives.

According to Kap JP, their health center is also providing assistance to their neighboring communities.

“We feel privileged to have attended this training. Rest assured that we will do our best, to provide quality service to our community members. Salamat po sa APRI,” said Daisy Carpio, Barangay Bitin Health Worker.

Brgy. Bitin is the pioneer beneficiary of this program as it has the oldest health facility among all the barangay health centers in MakBan that is serving over 30 residents coming from different barangays per day.

The program also covers asset donation, refurbishment of the health center, and medical mission, which will be implemented within the third quarter of 2017.
