AboitizPower supports partner's host community

Students of the biggest school in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan now have ten more reasons to enjoy learning, following AboitizPower’s donation of brand new computer sets.

The AboitizPower Energy Sales and Marketing Group gave 10 computer sets to Urdaneta I Central School, the city’s largest learning center with a population of 3,700 students from preschool to grade six.

Urdaneta I Central School is a host school of Magic Mall, owned and managed by Magic Group of Companies, which operates shopping malls and supermarkets across the Ilocos Region.

AboitizPower has been Magic Mall’s provider of reliable and cost-efficient two-megawatt power supply since 2016.

“I would like to thank AboitizPower for delivering this project. We are just an instrument in making this project possible,” said Engr. Jaime de Dios, Operations Manager at Magic Mall.

For his part during the donation turnover ceremony, Dr. Robert Tababa, school principal, said that their school’s library was recognized as the fifth most functional elementary school library in the region. With the additional 10 computer sets provided by AboitizPower, they are aiming to win the first prize this year.

Kapamilya namin kayong itinuturing, AboitizPower, said Lourdes Gandia, president of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association. They promised to use their new computer sets with care so that these may last for a longer period. All the 3,700 students will be able to use the new computers in their new library.

The computer donation project, which is in line with the computerization program that is being implemented by the Department of Education in public schools nationwide, underscores AboitizPower’s commitment not only to providing quality product and excellent service to partners, but also supporting their efforts to better the lives of their host communities.
