AP Renewables, Inc. Tiwi (APRI) completed its 6th AGAPP Silid Pangarap school building in Tiwi, Albay, in line with its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.In a turnover ceremony at the Joroan elementary school last July 19, some 39 kindergarten pupils and two AGAPP preschool teachers welcomed APRI, Aboitiz Foundation, and LGU officers in their newly-built classrooms.The AGAPP Silid Pangarap is fully-furnished with chairs, tables, books, toys and other school supplies, to help provide a wonderful learning experience to the kindergarten pupils at their early stage.It also supports the K to 12 program of the Department of Education (DepEd) in advocating literacy and early childhood care and development.DepEd Albay Division Chief Education Supervisor Sancita Peñarobia and OIC Principal Joy Dumasig of Joroan elementary school graced the turnover ceremony, and expressed their gratitude to APRI and Aboitiz Foundation.“The AGAPP Silid Pangarap will help supplement the efforts of the DepEd in providing a learner-friendly environment for our kindergarten pupils. Moreover, the learning space is really conducive to effective teaching, with the goal of improving the public education in Albay,” Peñarobia said.To date, APRI, in partnership with Aboitiz Foundation and AGAPP (Aklat, Gabay, Aruga tungo sa Pag-Angat at Pag-Asa) Foundation, has already built six AGAPP Silid Pangarap school buildings in Tiwi and five in MakBan, benefiting over 1,000 preschool children.APRI, a wholly owned subsidiary of AboitizPower, one of the leading geothermal energy producers in the country, delivers clean and renewable baseload power from its two facilities in Tiwi, Albay; the border of Bay and Calauan, Laguna, and Sto.
